MIRANTE DO GAVIÃO LODGE
The architectonical project, in precious wood and totally integrated to the nature, calls the attentions in Mirante do Gavião Lodge.
It is located at Negro River riverbank at Novo Airão city 184 km from Manaus by ground. The transfers Manaus-Lodge are realized in cars with air-conditioning in 3 hours trip each way.
The structure has original design harmonizing art and nature preserved surround!
It was created by Spanish Architect Patricia O'Reilly, from Atelier O'Reilly Architecture & Partners Sustainable Strategies office, the Mirante do Gavião
is composed by 12 units and a leisure area with pool, large restaurant/bar and 3 belvederes.

Additional Information
Package values include:
- Land transfers in/out Manaus - Novo Airão - Manaus (180 km);
- Accommodation in the chosen category but without the possibility of booking the specific unit;
- Meals on the tours and a la carte at the Camu-Camu Restaurant (breakfast, lunch and dinner);
- Check-in at 2 pm with lunch included. Check-out at 11 am (lunch not included).
- All activities described, in this way, there will be no chargeback or discount on payment if any activity cannot be performed
(whether due to guest arrival and departure times or otherwise). Activities can be modified, canceled or changed for reasons of weather conditions, safety and organization of tours by the inn.
Packages do not include: Beverages, any type of travel insurance, extra expenses and anything not described as included.
Tour guides cater for guests' activities in groups of up to 12 people. During the stay, several guides can assist groups. If the guest wants a private guide, consult the reservations/reception staff in advance about prices and availability.
The transfers are shared for guests staying at Mirante do Gavião. If the guest wishes to request a private transfer at other times, consult the reservations/reception staff in advance about prices and availability.
Mirante do Gavião is not responsible for delays in transport that may cause the loss of meals and activities in the packages, whether due to natural disasters, traffic conditions, strikes or other adverse reasons.
POLICY FOR CHILDREN
* Children accompanied by at least one adult.
Child from: up to 2 years old - complimentary // from 3 to 7 years old - 50% discount // From 8 to 12 years old - 25% discount.
Second child from: Up to 5 years old - complimentary // From 6 to 12 years old - 50% discount.
RESERVATION CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation or reduction of daily rates at check-in or during the stay,
the full amount of the reservation will be charged.
Any cancellation outside the stipulated deadlines will not be refunded.
In the case of refunds of 100% of the deposit amount, bank charges will be deducted.
No-show: Failure to show up on the day of check-in, without prior notice, automatically cancels the
booking without deposit return.
Low Season:
If cancellation is communicated within 21 days or more, 100% of the deposit will be refunded.
Between 20 and 11 days before, 50% of the deposit.
10 days or less prior, no deposit refund.
Other Seasons:
In case of notification of cancellation up to 31 days prior or more, full refund of the deposit.
70% of the deposit for cancellation between 30 and 16 days prior to check-in.
10% deposit for cancellations between 20 and 16 days prior to check-in.
15 days or less, no deposit refund.
The Mirante do Gavião
Mirante do Gavião Lodge is a design hotel with only 12 accommodations entirely made of certified hardwood, built with techniques of shipbuilding from the Amazon. Distant 180km from the Amazonas State capital Manaus, the hotel faces the Negro River with lookouts towards the Anavilhanas Archipelago and offers a memorable and authentic experience for its guests.
Adapted to people with disabilities: The Mirante do Gavião lodge believes sustainability goes further than solar energy and organic garden. The social inclusion is directly related to the in philosophy to offer wellness, joy and nature contact! Our adapted accommodation to receive guests with disabilities or reduced mobility is of Standard category and very comfortable, functional and safety, for those moments in the Amazon being lived in the best way possible. The accommodation has support bars, table & stuff at adequate highs and spacious area for circulation.
Restaurant
Viewed to the Negro river, the restaurant of the lodge has a menu elaborated by a Cuisine Chef from São Paulo, Débora Shornik, which is responsible by Flor do Luar Restaurant also in Novo Airão. Our proposal is to offer a different environment, with charm of Negro River and Amazonas State with dishes of International Gastronomy, utilizing most as possible the regional ingredients.
Packages
Remember the drought period are from October to December, floods are January to March with high levels from April to June and then ebbing between July to September (with variation between the months). The different seasons and conditions between drought and flooding can change the excursions.
Gavião Cabloco - 3 Days & 2 Nights
1st day
Around 10:00 AM, transfer from Manaus to Novo Airão (200 km in 2:30 hours) in acclimatized vehicle.
Arrival, accommodation and lunch at CamuCamu Restaurant at lodge.
Guided city tour by Novo Airão in acclimatized vehicle or by bike of hotel.
Afternoon Optional tour: Diving with buoys in Negro River.
Dinner at CamuCamu.
Optional tour: Night tour in speed boats to spot night animals at Anavilhanas National Park.
2nd day
Breakfast at CamuCamu Restaurant.
-Dry Season: Soon after breakfast, departure by speedboat to visit the St. Antonio community and
Tiririca community. Interpretative Trail in equatorial forest. For lunch, Amazonian fish barbequed on
traditional home of natives. Then shift to leisure on Tiririca Beach, in the heart of the Anavilhanas
National Park. After the refreshing bath, flora and fauna appreciation of the islands, rapidly shifting to
the largest tree from Anavilhanas islands, a giant “macucu”, in raid on lowland forest and explanation
of this peculiar ecosystem.
-Flood Season: Departure by speedboat to visit the Sobrado community. Interpretative trail in
equatorial forest, visiting the biggest tree specie in the Amazon, the Samaúma. For lunch, Amazonian
fish barbequed on traditional home of natives. Then shift to the largest tree from Anavilhanas islands,
a giant macucu in Parana das Araras. In return to the hostel foray through the flood forest for flora
and fauna explanation of that ecosystem assessment.
Dinner at CamuCamu Restaurant.
3rd day
- Speedboat departure before breakfast for sunrise contemplating at Anavilhanas Archipelago.
Return for breakfast.
- Speedboat departure for freshwater beaches (dry season) or aquatic trails through flooded forest (flood season).
- In the return visit to the Pink Dolphin Floating house.
- Return to the Lodge and check-out at 11:00 AM with transfer to Manaus. It is also possible to have lunch (not included in the package) and leave at 1:00 PM.
- Transfer from Novo Airão to Manaus in an air-conditioned vehicle (duration 2:30 hours).
Gavião Uiraçu - 4 Days & 3 Nights

- All seasons: After the breakfast, speedboat journey (1h30) for interpretive forest trail until the Madadá Caves and
their halls of stone (full day - 3 hours trekking in primary forest). In return, visit to Caboclo site with native fruits orchard.
- Flood season: Lunch at the Madadá Belvedere overlooking the Anavilhanas Archipelago. Rest and contemplation in the lookout hammocks, with bathroom and
toilet services and piranhas fishing.
- Dry Season: Lunch at Caboclo’s straw house, diving in Madadá stone formations.
- Speedboat Return to the Lodge (1h30), among islands of Anavilhanas National Park.
- Dinner at CamuCamu Restaurant.
4th day

Gavião no Mato - 6 Days & 5 Nights

- Breakfast at CamuCamu Restaurant.
- Right after breakfast, we head to Apuaú river with speedboat (1:30hs). After entering the Içana
narrow river, we follow up to its main waterfall (1 hr), with baths, swim in the river and other water
activities, into the Amazonian wild waterfalls tour.
- Lunch time: grilled fish and grilled dishes in the Mirante do Gavião jungle bungalow, with bathroom
and kitchen facilities.
- After a nap in the hammock, started 1 hour trekking in untouched forest to the waterfall of Thunder
Igarapé, another tributary of the Rio Apuaú.
- We arrive at the place for water activities in the local waterfalls and natural swimming pools.
- Return to the Mirante do Gavião jungle bungalow.
- Dinner, campfire, stories from native folklore.
- Overnight in hammock in the jungle bungalow.
5th day
- Awakening to the sounds of the forest, our staff prepares the breakfast.
- Leisure in the waterfall, pools and contemplation of the nature of the surroundings.
- Return with speedboat to the Mirante do Gavião Lodge.
- In the middle of the trip, we stop for lunch at Natives site.
- Free afternoon to rest and enjoy the recreational areas of the Lodge.
- Included Optional: massage with local herbs - Hawk Spa.
- Dinner at CamuCamu restaurant.
6th day

Gavião na Maloca - 6 Days & 5 Nights

- After breakfast at the lodge, head towards Lake Acajatuba, in the southern part of the Anavilhanas National Park, by speedboat, with occasional stops for observation of fauna in the archipelago's lakes (through opportunities identified by the Guide).
- Entrance to the floating lake where it is possible to swim with the pink dolphins, besides see some pirarucus (the largest freshwater scale fish in the world).
- Check in and lunch in the caboclo site of Pereira, the shores of the lake, with use of the bathroom.
- After a short rest in hammocks, we sail to the Ariaú River, where we can enjoy the rich bio-diversity of this course, with probable interaction of cairara monkeys.
- Optional included, by sunset, go for piranhas fishing and night animals.
- Navigation to the Indian village for overnight lodging in hammocks.
- Shamanic Ritual, led by the Tuchawa of the tribe is optional extra(Not included in the rate).
6th day
- At the wake of the day, our team prepares breakfast.
- Comunitour for interchange with indigenous local customs.
- Indigenous presentation with dance and original instruments.
- We continue our trip towards the Pier of the Tropical Executive Hotel in Manaus.
- 11: 00hs - Disembarkation and end of the expedition.
